Only the Messenger Scene from Persae was broadcast, alongside extracts from other plays, as part of a special Empire Day programme arranged and presented by Sir Henry Newbolt. The extracts were presented in dramatic form with incidental music. The programme was broadcast "to the British Empire by the London, Daventry (5XX), and other stations".
