A play drawing on Aeschylus’ Choephoroi written by Vittorio Alfieri to accompany his Agamennone. Alfieri wrote both plays in the period 1776-1778 with the intention that they be performed together, but Agamennone did not receive a performance until 1842 (see ID 4594).
