The prose translation was in kathareuousa. At Eleusis this series of events reviving the ancient festival atmosphere included a monologue from Euripides' Suppliant Women (ID 2331), and performances of Aeschylus' Seven Against Thebes (ID 8878) and Euripides' Hippolytus (ID 2089).
