APGRD Notes
Silent documentary on the first Delphic Festival including scenes from Prometheus Bound (production ID 107) as well as athletic events and other performances. Shot in the Ancient Theatre of Delphi by Dag Film company and commissioned by Eva Palmer-Sikelianos, the film was originally screened with both musical accompaniment and an accompanying choir (believed to the Chorus of Oceanides) from 26 May to 6 June 1927 at the Dionysia Theatre in Athens (which from 1920 to 1928 operated as Pallas Cinema). In 1971 a new sound version of the film was made, with a largely new cast.
