Light operatic adaptation of Apollinaire's surrealist play of the same name. The protagonist's gender transformation from Thérèse to Tirésias is inspired by the myth of the Theban prophet. The opera was presented as part of the series, "Parade: An Evening of French Music Theater," which also featured Satie's Parade and Ravel's L'Enfant et les Sortilèges.
