APGRD Notes
Conductor Arturo Toscanini made multiple alterations to this production, interpolating songs from other Gluck operas on Classical themes: "Divinités du Styx" from Alceste; a trio from Paride ed Elena; and the last final of Écho et Narcisse. In the performance of 29 January 1910, Marie Delna as Orfeo interpolated "O quel' lotta, delirio extrema" from Écho et Narcisse instead of "Divinités du Styx." See Met Opera database entries for more details, such as Toscanini's original program note.
Costumes designed by Blaschke & Cie. Performed alongside Delibes' "Coppélia" on 5 March, 1910.
