Whether the Cyclope was performed is still an object of debate. Alessandro Pazzi de' Medici wrote the 'Dido in Cartagine' in 1524, along with the 'Ifigenia in Tauride', followed by the 'Cyclope' and the 'Edipo re' in 1525.
