Prose translation by Emile Pessonneaux in two volumes, reedited in 1875, 1878, 1880 and 1883 (Paris: G. Charpentier). Alceste was published on its own in 1882 (Paris: Delalain frères). A 1995 edition of selected plays by Euripides reprinted Pessonneaux's Médée, Andromaque, Les Troyennes, Électre and Iphigénie en Aulide (sic. Pessonneaux's original title was 'Iphigénie à Aulis').
