This was the first Cambridge Greek Play to feature a woman in the cast since Janet Case's appearance in the Eumenides of 1885 - although Jocasta had been played by a woman in the previous year's production of Oedipus Tyrannus at Cambridge (ID 1119). Selections from the production were broadcast on the BBC's Third Programme on 4 March 1950 at 6.20pm.
