APGRD Notes
With an additional three Prologues on a hint for a new theatre, Queen Elizabeth, and a fight between an Englishman and an Italian, and two Epilogues on Canthara's age and dress, and the fatherless infant. The date of the first and third prologues is uncertain, but the second is dated to 17 November. The first epilogue is dated to 13 November 1724 by the Taylor MSS (BM add. M.SS37684, and the date of 1724 is also confirmed by the Radford MS [discussed in The Elizabethan – the school magazine – for 1923] (saying it was 'englished' by S. Wesley, according to notes by L.E. Tanner in his copy of Lusus Alteri Westmonasterienses pp.38 and 39 [in the Westminster School Archive]). The date of the second epilogue is uncertain.
