Readings from Sappho, Catullus, Horace, and Euripides' Bacchae, together with a performance of Carl Orff's Carmina Burana, were given under the title Aphrodite und Dionysos: Lyrik und Chorszenen aus Antike und Mittelalter. The scenes from Bacchae were the prologue by Dionysus, the scene between Pentheus and the Messenger, two scenes between Pentheus and Dionysus, and the messenger speech.
