APGRD Notes
Libretto: Marco Coltellini, 'Antigona. Coltellini and Traetta's Antigona followed the operatic reform proposed in the treatise 'Saggio sopra l'opera in musica' by Francesco Algarotti (see APGRD ID 9838). The opera includes pantomime and dance. Further settings of Coltellini's libretto: Dmitry Stepanovich Bortnyansky, Venice 1776 (as Creonte; Sartori ID 6888); Vincenzo Campobasso d’Alessandro, Milan 1789 (Sartori ID 2096); Peter Winter, Naples 1791 (Sartori ID 2097). Chorus: Russian musicians from the Imperial Chapel
