Premiere performance of Graham's 'Myth of a Voyage', based on Homer's Odyssey with characters including Calypso, Circe, Narsicca, suitors, sailors, a Ulysses-figure and a Penelope-figure; the set comprised of "a web of ropes across the stage with a loom built into a scaffold". This premiere was accompanied by a performance of 'Diversion of Angels' and 'Cave of the Heart', Graham's treatment of the Medea myth (with Takako Asakawa as Medea) which first premiered in 1946 as 'Serpent Heart' (see production id 3347).
