APGRD Notes
The libretto for this work, described as a 'tragedia da cantarsi', generally follows Euripides. Included are some love interests (Toante pursues Ifigenia; his daughter Teonoe falls in love with Oreste and spurns her suitor Almireno). Pasqualigo's libretto was later set again by Leonardo Vinci for the same theatre in 1725 (Production ID 10831). Further settings include Mazzoni's for Treviso in 1756 and Monza's for Milan in 1784.
