APGRD Notes
This ballet probably drew on Euripides. It was one of the ballets used as interval entertainment during opera performances at the carnival of 1787. Its use is recorded for Giovanni Bertati's opera La costanza in amor rende felice (the second interval ballet in this case was titled Il bottaro). The special booklet designated as Programma del ballot titles the ballet as La morte di Creusa e Medea (Sartori ID 19176), whereas the libretto of Bertati's opera lists it as Morte di Medea e Creusia (Sartori ID 6802). The dedication in the Programma is dated 3 February 1787.
