This work is described as a 'cantata a cinque voci' (Sartori ID 11137). Dramatis personae: Ifigenia, Oreste, Pilade, Toante, Dori. Torelli is listed in the libretto as 'bolognese, maestro di capp. Dell'imperatrice delle Russie'. The libretto does not give the exact date of the production. Another performance of this cantata was given in Bologna on 11 April 1789 at an academy at the Nobile Casino, for which a separate libretto was printed (Sartori ID 11138); the performers might have been the same.
