Based in the University of Oxford’s Faculty of Classics, the APGRD is a pioneering centre for international, interdisciplinary research into performances inspired by the ancient Greek and Roman tragedies, comedies, and epics. Our research outputs include over twenty-five major publications, our three open-access databases and our archival collections. We also produce a wide-range of learning resources, including a podcast, to introduce our research to wider audiences.
Over the years, the APGRD has established a wide network of international and UK-based academics, practitioners, projects, and institutions. We benefit from research partnerships which run in parallel to, and often intersect with, our creative collaborations, development programmes, and artists-in-residence.
