    BADA summer program 2025

Applications are now open for the British American Drama Academy's (BADA) month-long summer Greek Theatre program 2025. Participants spend 10 days in London, 10 days in Greece, and a final residency in Oxford with the APGRD. The programme's interdisciplinary model makes it suitable for students and theatre practitioners at various stages of their careers.

    Welcoming Pantelis Michelakis

A warm welcome to Pantelis Michelakis, who returns to the APGRD from 1 October as our new Director following the retirement of Fiona Macintosh. Pantelis was with the APGRD from the very early years, before taking up a position in Classics at the University of Bristol, where he has been since 2002. Pantelis is an expert in Greek tragedy and literature, media studies, and literary theory.

    Celebrating Fiona Macintosh

After almost 25 years with the APGRD, and almost 15 years as Director, we say a heartfelt thank you to Professor Fiona Macintosh on the eve of her retirement. Fiona's vision and passion has made the APGRD what it is today. Although we wish her a long and happy retirement, we also hope that she will continue as an active member of our Advisory Board and as a doctoral supervisor in the Classics Faculty, as well as remaining involved with our various Research Projects.
