The APGRD regularly hosts public readings of new works in the Ioannou Centre for Classical and Byzantine Studies, Oxford, and supports performances related to classical theatre. From 2006-11 the Onassis Programme commissioned and co-produced eleven productions of works inspired by ancient Greek plays. The triennial Oxford Greek Play, although entirely student led, regularly involves students and staff associated with the APGRD; and material from its collections routinely provides a source of inspiration for those involved in the productions.
